Volunteer Opportunities: Washington State Veterans Cemetery

You can help the veterans and their families at the Washington State Veterans Cemetery (located 3 miles west of Fairchild Air Force Base). The staff is recruiting volunteers in the following categories:

• Taps Bugler Trumpet or bugle. 
• Honor Guard, Rifle Honors Team Help provide veterans rifle salute. 
• Ladies and Gentlemen of the State Veterans Cemetery Offer condolences to next-of-kin on behalf of the Governor and the military family.
• Cortege Driver Usher family and guests from designated parking area to the committal shelter for services.
• Minister Lead committal services in prayer.  
• General Volunteers There are many other ways to volunteer. 
• Photographer  Photograph Special Events (Memorial Day, Wreaths Across America).
